The
Rogers Plus Children's Charitable Fund was established in 2003 to
support non-profit organizations that promote a positive childhood
experience. The fund is managed by a group of employees who work to
bring a smile to kids' faces all over Canada.
Since 2003 the Rogers Plus Children's Charitable Fund has donated
over $210,000 to assist national charities such as
The Children’s
Wish Foundation of Canada, KidSport®,
Camp Quality
Canada and Kids
Help Phone, as well as regional organizations such as the Ontario
March of Dimes Recreation Department, and Junior
Achievement British Columbia's "Economics of Staying in School"
program.
The Rogers Plus Invitational Golf Tournament is
the largest annual fundraiser for the Rogers Plus Children's Charitable
Fund. It takes place every summer at the Angus Glen Golf Club in Markham,
Ontario. At this year's tournament, taking place on Friday, June 4,
we hope to surpass the total funds raised last year ($84,000). For
details on the sponsorship opportunities for this event, please contact

| Rogers Santa Claus Parade |

The
fourth annual Rogers
Santa Claus Parade made its way through downtown Vancouver on
Sunday, November 25, 2007, attracting over 300,000 on-site spectators.
It is Vancouver’s largest and most prestigious winter event
with over 60 bands, floats and community groups.
Every year Rogers Plus partners with the Greater
Vancouver Food Bank Society to collect donations brought by parade
attendees. In the past three years over 11,500 lbs. of food have been
collected for those in need.
In addition, we also partner with food banks across the Lower Mainland
by collecting donations through Rogers Plus stores and at the Rogers
Retail Head Office in Richmond, BC.
| The Rogers Pumpkin Patrol |

For
over 20 years, Rogers Pumpkin
Patrol has been sharing Halloween safety tips with children and
their parents. Originally started by Rogers employees, the program
is a great tradition, keeping child safety top of mind on Halloween
night.
In Rogers Cable licensed areas, Cable vans patrol neighbourhood streets
offering children assistance and parents peace-of-mind on the big
night. Throughout the month of October the Rogers Pumpkin Patrol conducts
Halloween safety sessions at schools across the country. Everything
from street safety to proper costuming is shared and students will
receive a safety loot pack. Rogers Plus stores also offer free reflective
armbands – an essential for a safe Halloween night.

Here’s
a few of our current community partnerships:
Camp
Quality
Lifting
the Spirits of Children with Cancer.
Rogers Plus is pleased to support Camp Quality’s 2008 Puppet Program.
Funded by Rogers Plus, the Educational Puppet Program visits nearly 17,000 children each year in local area schools. The life-size puppets encourage sensitivity about cancer and its effects.
Camp Quality is more than a camp. It's a non-profit, volunteer organization which provides a year-round support program for children with cancer and their families. Each of their seven camps across Canada and year-round programs are volunteer-run, community-funded and are available at absolutely no cost. Their signature week-long camping program provides a wonderfully unique opportunity for children with cancer to put their illness behind them and concentrate on having fun. Established in 1988, Camp Quality programs provide children with the opportunity to try new and old activities and to make new friends and memories that will last forever.
Innervisions
Recovery Society
Recovery
from the brutality and degradation of addiction, in a safe and structured
centre.
Rogers Plus is pleased to support the Innervisions Recovery Society.
As part of our support, Rogers Plus will be funding the cost of 500 Alcoholics Anonymous “Big Books” for Innervisions participants. This book sets out the basic principles of the recovery program. Rogers Plus also supports the Family Program. The goal of this program is to provide addiction knowledge, awareness, support and healthy tools to the family of an addict in treatment.
Innervisions is an addiction support centre managed by former addicts who have recovered from the horrors and loneliness of addiction. They provide an escape from the brutality and degradation of addiction by applying a rigorous recovery program and a proven plan to ensure success for everyone. In 2006, 309 people successfully completed the program and are on their way to recovery from addiction. Along with substance abuse treatment, Innervisions also provides access to transitional second-stage housing, employment and training programs, as well as a family re-integration program.
