Why do you sell only a limited selection of movies online?
We have recently changed our on-line orders to focus on providing you
with the rental news you care about most. As a result, we no longer offer an extended online catalogue of older, or lesser-known titles.
We are, however, continuing to sell on-line the movies that are available for purchase at our stores, and you will still be able to search our growing database to find information on older, or lesser-known titles.
|
How do I place a special order to purchase a movie that isn't available on your website?
You can place a special order for these titles by visiting your local Rogers Plus or Video store.
|
How can I contact you regarding store issues?
To contact us regarding store issues, comments or feedback, you can speak directly with the manager of your local store (click here for our store locator) or send us an email.

|
What is the Parents' Guide?
Rogers Plus and Rogers Video are committed to providing parents with an information guide to help assist your decision in what your kids and/or family watch. Selected movies have been reviewed and the content in the areas of Sex/nudity, Drugs/alcohol, Violence/Scariness and Objectionable Words/Phrases have been highlighted. We are continually adding Parent's Guides to more titles and these reviews are in addition to the Canadian Home Video Classification System.

|
How are movies rated?
In May 1995 the film and video industry unveiled its new Canadian Rating System for Home Videos, intended to bring national uniformity to home video ratings. Ratings are determined by averaging the classifications assigned by the provincial boards. These ratings are stickered on the back of the video jackets.

|
How do I get Rogers Plus or Video to sponsor my fundraising activity?
Rogers Plus and Video stores contribute to the community by providing non-profit organizations with coupon sheets that can be used for door prizes or raffles. If your school or sports team is having a fundraiser, simply submit a written request to your local Rogers Plus or Video store manager. Coupon sheets will be awarded at the store manager's discretion. If you're thinking of planning a major fundraising initiative, Rogers Plus and Rogers Video can help by providing your team or non-profit group with Rogers Plus and Video Movie Coupon Passports. Your organization gets to keep a portion of the sales. For more details, please email fundraising@rci.rogers.com

| Star Rewards: |
How do I sign up for Star Rewards?
It's easy! All you have to do is go to any Rogers Video store and tell them that you’d like to join our program. If you’re an existing video member, the customer service representative will simply hand you over a new card to replace your existing membership card and you’re good to go. If you’re not a current member its still easy. A Customer Service Representative will add you to our system (there are a few rental requirements our staff can help you with) and give your new STAR REWARDS membership card.
|
How much does it cost and how long does it last?
Membership costs $10 per year, however, most customers will pay for that in the first month! Right now you can get a free new release movie for signing up for the Star Rewards Newsletter and get 5 bonus points when you sign up today.
|
How are my points tracked?
Points are tracked on your account. When you arrive at the counter, present your STAR REWARDS card and your points balance will be brought up.
|
Can I collect points for rentals at different Rogers Video stores?
Of course. Just show your STAR REWARDS Membership card at any store and our system will automatically update your account. You will be able to collect or redeem points at any of our participating locations.
|
What about "Free Kids Movies"?
Each member is entitled to one free kids movie rental with every paid movie or game rental.
|
Do I have to carry a card?
The card is used to centrally track your points balance so if you go to another store, your balance will travel with you. Also, its more secure than just using phone number and last name to confirm your ID.
|
Do my points expire each month like at other video stores?
No, they don’t expire as long as you are a Star Rewards member.
|
Can other people in my family collect or use points?
Yes, you can add up to 4 additional Star Rewards cards to family members provided they live in the same household. These signers have full rental and redemption privileges.
|
What if I lose my card, or it gets stolen?
Notify the staff immediately. We will issue you a new card at no cost. The old card will no longer be valid.

| Pay Per Day: |
Do you still have No Late Fees?
Our customers told us they want selection. We want to have the most popular titles available to the majority of our customers at a great price. With No Late Fees, we can not determine when movies will be returned. By applying a Pay Per Day rental strategy to our top New Releases, customers are encouraged to return the movies, so that other customers can enjoy them.
|
What movies are PAY PER DAY movies?
The Top Movie rentals as they are in the greatest demand. Everyone wants to see these movies as soon as they hit the shelves.
|
What if I still want No Late Fees?
The rest of our new release movies and the entire 7-day movie section are still included in our No Late Fees program. The Top New Releases will only be in our Pay Per Day program for a few weeks since they change on a weekly basis. Customers now have choice. They can continue to rent movies that are part of the No Late Fee program or they can get their hands on a hot new release since the Pay Per Day program gets movies back on the shelves.
|
How does PAY PER DAY work?
We’re charging $1.00/extra day to a max of 4 days only. The most a customer will have to pay if the movie is brought back within 30 days is only $4.00 per movie in extended viewing charges.
|
If I return this movie 2 weeks from now, how much will I have to pay?
Customers will only pay $4.00 in extended viewing charges in addition to the original rental fee.
|
So what happens if I go over 30 days?
The customer now owns the movie and will be charged a $20.00 replacement fee on top of their additional extended viewing charges.
|
|
| No Late Fees on Movies: |
What do you mean by “No Late Fees”?
You will not be charged extended viewing or late fees for keeping movie rentals for a day or two beyond the due date shown on the receipt.
|
So I can keep movie rentals for as long as I want?
No. We ask that you still return them by their due date so others can enjoy them. Movies are still due back by the date on your receipt.
|
What do you mean by “No Restocking Fees”?
Unlike most other movie rental stores, Rogers will not charge you a processing or administration fee if your movie rental is returned to us in re-saleable condition after the due date.
|
Could you run out of available movies if customers keep their rentals?
We’ll continue to monitor our movie selections to maintain current levels of availability. We hope that everyone will return their movie rentals by the due date, even without having to pay any “late fees.”
|
Is there a limit on the number of movies I can rent?
To help ensure that others can enjoy the movie rentals they are looking for, we are limiting the number of New Release movie rentals to five (5) at any one time.
|
When will you start charging me for movie rentals not returned and how will you calculate that amount?
If a rental has not been returned by the 8th day following its due date, your Rogers Video account will be updated to change the amount of the rental to the amount of the movie’s purchase price (either the retail price for New Releases or, if available, the Previously Viewed selling price). This purchase price will be shown on your membership account as an actual sale if the movie rental has still not been returned within 30 days after the original due date.
|
How do I pay for a movie rental that has been converted to a sale?
Charges will be billed to your Rogers Membership account, not your credit card. How you choose to pay those charges is up to you
Back to top.
|
Why are Video Games not included?
Due to the cost and duration of play for games rentals, and the fact that we usually only stock a few copies of each game, they cannot be included in this program. We’ll continue to offer alternative promotions on games to ensure the best gaming experience for our customers.

I can't print my coupon!
Our coupons are optimized for Internet Explorer browsers with the cookie and Java settings enabled. Also, please check the "caching" settings on your web browser. Select the option of "every visit to this page" or something similar, so that you are not having a record of this image stored on your coupon.
Alternatively, you can do an "image capture" of your personalized coupon. To do this, generate your coupon. When the coupon image is on your screen, select the Alt and Print Screen buttons on your keyboard simultaneously. This will copy an image of your screen. You can then paste that image into a word processing document, such as Microsoft Word. You may need to increase the size of the image, but as long as the coupon code number, your name and membership number are legible, the stores will redeem your coupon.

Why do I have to login to get my coupon?
We ask you to login to your online account first in order to provide you with a personalized coupon. Due to security and fraud reasons, this important change will allow us to be able to continue to provide our newsletter subscribers this exclusive benefit.

What's a computer cookie?
Some Web sites store information in a small text file, called a "cookie," on your hard disk. To receive the Rogers Video personalized printable coupons, you must enable cookies on your computer.
Cookies contain information about you and your preferences. For example, if you inquire about a flight schedule at an airline's Web site, the site might create a cookie that contains your itinerary. Or it might only contain a record of which pages within the site you visited, to help the site customize the view for you the next time you visit.
Only the information that you provide, or the choices you make while visiting a Web site, can be stored in a cookie. For example, the site cannot determine your email name unless you choose to type it. Allowing a Web site to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it.
Internet Explorer is set up to allow the creation of cookies; however, you can specify that you be prompted before a site puts a cookie on your hard disk, so you can choose to allow or disallow the cookie; or you can prevent Internet Explorer from accepting any cookies.
You can specify different settings for different security zones. For example, you might want to allow Web sites to create cookies if they are in your Trusted sites or Local intranet zone, prompt you before creating cookies if they are in your Internet zone, and never allow cookies if they are in your Restricted sites zone.
